About Hilke Zeeck
Hilke Zeeck, Tapping Time with Hilke
After many years of a mild form of undiagnosed chronic fatigue and ongoing overwork and overwhelm, I finally crashed after the Covid school years in 2021. Eventually, I got a diagnosis of ME/CFS in 2023. I could not continue working as a school teacher and have since been on an interesting, albeit slow, recovery journey.
Books and programmes such as Jan Rothney’s “Breaking Free” and “Reset to Thrive” and her peer support community, Anj Granieri’s “Edison Effect”, Raelan Agle’s YouTube Channel with recovery stories full of hope and currently Dr. Howard Schubiner’s new book “Unlearn your Pain” have become companions on my journey, and have inspired me to become aware of old patterns, learn new ways of supporting myself and bring in compassion and self-care.
EFT tapping has been the single most important component of my learning process and my ongoing recovery. Tapping’s calming effect on the nervous system and the exploration and healing work of EFT have helped me immensely. Using tapping in conjunction with what I am learning in books and programmes has been very useful.
I have since become an accredited advanced EFT practitioner with EFT International and have started working with individuals, whether their journey is a health journey or another journey of “becoming”. I am also experimenting with small group tapping work and find the benefits inspiring.
